EDGE Opens at Arts Benicia
Arts Benicia is proud to present the work of 13 Bay Area from the Edge Art
Group, whose work is characterized by an imaginative Use of materials
and innovative techniques. These artists share an interest in the unexpected:
often their work evokes connections with familiar objects or methods of
fabrication, surprising the viewer with a visual pun, or the fact that it is
actually made from something other than what it seems. They are exploring the
edges of art, craft, and the fabrication of everyday or domestic objects. EDGE
opens March 22 and will be on view through April 20. The reception,
generously sponsored by James H. Riley, CFP, is Sunday, March 30 at 3 p.m. All
are invited. Arts Benicia Center Gallery is located at 991 Tyler
Street, Suite 114 in Benicia’s Arsenal district. Gallery hours are Thursday
through Sunday from noon to 5 p.m., or by arrangement. Admission is free.
